The actual cost of the labour was not that much as my father is a builder and he has completed the job as a labour of love and has done everything at cost price. However, all of the things that are included can cost quite a lot. The money was not as good as he got as a brick layer but at least it was a job, and could allow him to contribute to the bills they were struggling with at this point. So he did Construction Labour for the whole of the winter and went back to brick laying during the summer. He has now realised he has so many contacts, so a Construction Labour job should just be a phone call away.

After all, I reasoned to myself, if somebody has the drive and initiative to get going in the first place, they will do well at whatever they choose.
