As a small retailer one of the most important sides of my business is my shop window. I notice the interest and sales increase as soon as I change the mannequins in the window. I like to have a range of mannequins because although I sell largely lingerie I also do offer some lovely nightwear and swim wear. My window needs to reflect the range I stock as it brings in a different customer base. I started off using two mannequins in the window and dressing them once every ten days but have noticed that using three mannequins has increased sales. I keep the third mannequin dressed in night wear to ensure that even if the lingerie doesn`t appeal to everyone that they are aware of the full extent of my stock. I probably do still dress the mannequins every ten days and try to have them complement each other colour wise I think that having three mannequins has been a great business decision.
