Broken car keys
By Dave Rinnder

Recently I had the pleasure of attending a conference in the lake district in a gorgeous country house hotel. You know, the sort of place set in beautiful grounds with a long sweeping drive up to the reception. The sort of place that reminds you of the setting in a Jane Austen novel. Well, I arrived at this sumptuous place and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time there. The food was outstanding, the service second to none and the other people on the conference were amiable and interesting. All in all, a perfectly pleasurable experience. That is, until it was time to leave. All the delegates said their goodbyes to each other and we sadly walked towards our cars feeling slightly despondent at leaving this luxurious place. I put my suitcase on the floor and tried to open my car to put it in the boot but soon realised that, horror of horrors, I had Broken Car Keys. The key had broken in half! One of the other delegates soon came to see what was the matter and was as stumped as I when I told him I had Broken Car Keys. Only after a lot of messing about and pleasing with local garages were my Broken Car Keys taken away and mended. The upside of this was I had one more night to spend in this beautiful hotel.
